In Order

What came first, what costs more, what is taller? Everyone puts five cards in the order they think is right, in secret. Then the game reveals the answer and counts how many cards sit right. Share one device or use your own phones, without an app or account.

Rules and common questions

Every round has a task with five cards, for example “What came to market first?”. Everyone sees the same cards, mixed up, and may talk about them. Each person lays the cards in secret, from the start of the axis (for example “earlier”) to its end. Then the game shows the right order, card by card with its value.

How are points counted?

You get one point for every card that sits right relative to the others. So every misplaced card costs one of five possible points. All five right earns 2 extra points. The highest total after the last round wins.

What does “right relative to the others” mean?

A single card that is too early or too late does not throw out all the others. The game looks for the longest group of your cards that are in the right order. All remaining cards count as misplaced and are marked red in the result.

Does everyone need a phone?

No. Pass one device around and tap “Place cards” next to your name while the others look away. Players with their own phone can join by invitation link or QR code. The host can play too.

How do I lay the cards?

Tap a card to put it on the next free place. Tap a placed card to take it back. You can also drag cards, on a phone by the grip on the right, or move them with the arrow keys.

How long does a game take?

Choose 5, 8 or 10 rounds, with about two minutes per round. Play with 2–12 people.
